Here's a major/minor update to your Whales stack, as promised, and at no charge to you.
Changes:
1) Darker background colors. This should be easier on the eyes when viewing on the computer but, alas, uses more ribbon or toner when printing cards. Personally, I'd rather save my eyes.
2) I cleaned out the hyphenation garbage in the "Comments:" field that I had put in manually in the first place...this makes for less-illiterate-looking printouts!
3) I fiddled around with the whale index buttons until they were grouped as they should be.
4) New "Whale Sorter" button on the index card. You may now sort the whale info cards by Common Name, Latin Name or Family.
5) New "Reports" button on the index card. One of the reports prints out all of the data minus comments, and the other prints out the Common Name and Latin Name with the contents of the Comments field for each whale. You may have to resize the fields or jack them around a bit to make 'em fit your style, but that should be all. Hope they're OK for you and don't interfere with any custom reports you may have already made. If so, you can delete mine from the stack and import your own. Whatever suits ya'.
6) If you have made your own custom Comments in your original stacks, you can do the standard copy-and-paste routine to the new version by:
a) opening your original stack.
b) opening v1.6 in a New Window.
c) go to each identical whale info card in turn (making sure they're the same whale!).
d) click and drag through your custom comments and choose "Copy" from the Edit menu.
e) click and drag through my comments in v1.6 and choose "Paste" from the Edit menu.
This may take forever, but Mac users are known for their infinite patience, right?
